Where Socially Yours Starts — and Where It Wants You to End Up
The welcome lesson describes a familiar picture: you post on a whim, try to grow, build community and sell in one post, and get so little engagement it feels like talking to yourself. Socially Yours fixes this by giving every effort its own job and its own content.
The Socially Yours success criteria are concrete: after four months you know what to post for growth, nurture and convert, post three times a week on your feed and three times on stories without overwhelm, and see reach, views and interactions rising every 30 days, with leads in comments, DMs and link-in-bio clicks.
The teacher has the track record. Elle Money (“Elle Social” on Instagram) bills herself as an Instagram coach for businesses, runs a page of over 100,000 people, says she has posted over a thousand carousels across eight-plus years on the platform and has kept a five-posts-a-week schedule for three or four years. She also worked as a social media manager for a design company.
Positioning: Seed, Sunshine, Sunflower and Content Pillars
The positioning module first defines your page, competitors and target audience. Then comes Elle Money’s niche-and-offer framework, built on a flower metaphor:
- Seed — who you help, stated so specifically that the right person thinks “this offer is exactly for me.” It belongs in your bio.
- Sunshine — your process, i.e. how you get them there. Your content should showcase it.
- Sunflower — the measurable result. Her web designer example: small businesses who want more revenue from their website, helped through discovery, brand strategy, SEO, copywriting and design, ending at converting 7% of web traffic to sales.
Content pillars are three to five topics that make you “known for one thing.” Each pillar gets at least three subtopics, and each subtopic at least three ideas — so you leave with a minimum of nine content ideas per pillar. Examples include a dog walker, a mobility coach and a money coach. Elle Money also shows how to build pillars when you want to become known before you sell, and insists one pillar must be personal — “My Journey.”
“People no longer want what they can Google or what they can ask ChatGPT. And what you can’t get from AI is that personal response and things based on your lived experiences.” — Module 2, Content Pillars
Elle Money’s Messaging Toolkit
In Socially Yours, messaging comes before visuals, because if your words don’t land, nobody consumes the content. The module opens with seven sales perspectives — seven ways to talk about the same offer, run once per offer:
| Prompt | The question it answers |
|---|---|
| Always | What is always true when people work with you — a process, outcome, feeling or mindset shift? |
| Never | What will they never have to deal with again? |
| But what if? | Which doubts and limiting beliefs (about themselves or about you) need answering? |
| Without | How do they get the result without what they hate — e.g. “10K in revenue without paid ads”? |
| Roadblocks | What busy work (hoarding freebies, hiring the cheapest help) keeps them further from the result? |
| Identity | Who will they be after working with you, and who do they refuse to be? |
| Enlighten | Which industry belief can you reframe to own your expertise? |
Next you list pain points and their opposite, desires — specific “you get me” statements instead of umbrella terms. Then you rebuild your bio: a simple username, a searchable name field (Elle Money’s reads “Instagram Coach for Businesses”), a clear face photo and copy built from your seed. Captions, keywords and hashtags (currently up to three) get their own lessons.
Four Hook Types, Combined on Every Post
The 24-minute hooks lesson names four hooks: the headline hook on the first slide of static posts, the visual hook (movement that starts a reel), the anchor hook (text fixed in the top third while the video plays) and the caption hook (the first line before “read more”). A reel can stack three; a carousel has two. The rule: if the post hook explains the topic, the caption hook can be clever and intriguing — and vice versa. Done-for-you hook and headline PDFs are included.
Experience, Insight, Bridge
Intro-middle-end storytelling, Elle Money argues, “is boring, it’s overdone” for conversions. Her replacement is experience → insight → bridge: what happened, what it revealed about your expertise, and how it applies to the viewer. Her example: back from Italy and uninspired, she reposted five older posts and got over 120 views without creating anything new — “let this be your reminder to repost.” Longer reels get a deeper structure: hook, context, conflict, turning point, resolution.
The GNC Content Strategy at the Heart of Socially Yours
GNC stands for Grow, Nurture, Convert, mapped onto the buyer journey from awareness to purchase and retention. Elle Money separates strategy (what you sell and want to achieve — it rarely changes) from the marketing plan (formats, trends, schedule). Her argument: most people will not buy from someone they just discovered, so familiarity and trust are built in stages.
“So that’s an easy way to remember is stranger, friends, besties.” — Module 5, GNC Content Strategy
| Stage | Who you talk to | Calls to action | What you track | Posts & stories you make |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Grow | Strangers / cold leads | Follow, share, repost | Reach, views, follows, shares, reposts, average watch time | Landing content, “advice you wish you knew,” mini-training story, reposting other creators, signature series |
| Nurture | Followers / friends | Likes, comments, saves | Likes, comments, saves | Transformation post, conversation starter, polls, relatable thought + emoji sticker, unpopular opinion, Q&A/AMA |
| Convert | Warm audience / besties | Comment, DM, link clicks | Comments, DMs, profile visits, link-in-bio clicks | Work-with-me post, value-based selling, poll-led sales chats, business BTS + CTA, client case study, testimonials |
Each stage gets its own week: two feed posts and two stories to publish, with results logged in a KPI table and revisited days later, because content now has a longer lifespan. A fourth week combines all three; after that, results are tracked monthly.
Five Kinds of Value, Three Buyers, Four Kinds of Proof
- Value beyond tutorials: emotional, practical, functional, psychological and surprise value.
- Buyer types: emotional buyers need relatability and story; analytical buyers want facts, inclusions and “why now”; chilled buyers need nudges, countdowns and urgency.
- Social proof: logical (stats, before/after), anecdotal (journeys), social (screenshots and reviews) and educational (confident teaching makes you your own proof).
- Client case study post: where they were, what changed, the transformation. Her example client went from 844 followers and 20–30 likes per carousel to almost 500,000 reel views.
On stories, a yes/maybe poll becomes a DM opener, and testimonials are shared as highlighted screenshots linked to the offer the client bought. For a deeper system,
selling with Instagram Story sequences pairs well with it.
Content Calendar, Batching and Repurposing
The Socially Yours calendar module turns GNC into a routine. The three-a-week template runs growth on Monday, convert on Wednesday and nurture on Friday; the five-a-week version adds a repost day. Stories alternate with the feed: on a growth feed day, post nurture or convert stories. You plan one to four weeks ahead; the only always-on task is writing down every idea.
- Time on the app: about 45 minutes a day — roughly 15 minutes on other people’s stories, 15 on your comments and DMs, 15 scrolling — and never open the app without a reason.
- Batching: write all the week’s copy in one sitting, then design everything in one sitting.
- Three levels of repurposing: repost as-is, reformat, or rethink one idea into many posts.
“So your content should say one thing in a hundred different ways, not a hundred different things.” — Module 12, Rule of 3
Selling in the DMs with ManyChat
Module 13 maps every Instagram sales path and splits the approach by price. A low-ticket DM has four parts: greeting, gratitude, benefit and link; high-ticket chats open with an open-ended question. Elle Money shows real automations: a comment-triggered DM for her free “30 in 30” masterclass was sent 387 times and nearly 70% of people opened it. Objection replies and a four-number lead tracker (sales messages, calls booked, calls closed, revenue) round it off. For more automation depth, the
ManyChat IG Summit is a natural next step.
Bolt-On Workshops: Hooks, Trial Reels and Carousels
Nearly four hours sit in three recorded workshops. In the first, guest Dan Nelken — a former advertising copywriter who worked for Lululemon — teaches hook writing: list your “buckets” and ideas under each (20 buckets × 10 ideas = 200 starting points) and answer “this is a carousel about…” ten times. The second covers trial reels (test at least five to ten before judging any new feature) and collecting emails through ManyChat — one campaign sent 176 times gathered 141 emails into ConvertKit.
Her 83-minute carousel workshop fixes five common failures — weak hooks, rushing to the point, low swipeability, badly used slides, a wasted second slide — with a four-part order: hook, buildup, “the juice,” call to action. Carousels can now run to 20 slides, and the second slide must work as a second hook because Instagram may re-serve your post starting there. It pairs naturally with
carousels that convert training.
