DM Automation Index Review 2026 of the DM Automation Free Access course on Courses On Budget
DM Automation Index Review 2026: the ManyChat trigger map, story-reply bot and Reel workflow inside the course.

DM Automation – Free Access Index Review

October 29, 2026 Posted by Courses on Budget Editorial Team Marketing Posts
DM Automation · Free Access · Index Review 2026This DM Automation Index Review goes past the feature list and into the mechanics: how one comment keyword does two jobs at once, how the creator’s story-reply bot is timed, a full CapCut rebuild of a Reel taken from the lessons, and where the high-ticket commission really comes from. Every number below comes from the nine video lessons and the file index, and every result is the creator’s own claim, not ours. Brought to you by Courses On Budget.
Quick Verdict
Course DM Automation – Free Access (IG Profit Starter Kit + ManyChat module)
Creator An Instagram affiliate marketer in the make-money-online niche (name not given in the lessons)
Format 9 videos (2h 20m) · 11 text lessons · 3 importable bot flows · Systeme.io funnel template
Level Beginner, ideally starting a fresh Instagram creator account
Core promise Every comment, DM and story reply becomes a lead without you typing a word
Our take A complete beginner path; the bot module is short but ready to use the same day
In this review:
1. The link bottleneck · 2. The trigger map · 3. Story-reply timeline · 4. Worked example: a Reel rebuild · 5. Growth vs. conversion · 6. The commission ladder · 7. Course map · 8. Self-test · 9. The creator · 10. Verdict

The Real Problem: Your Link Is a Bottleneck

The course’s core argument is that Instagram views are worth nothing until people leave Instagram. A Reel can collect thousands of views and still earn zero, because the platform does not pay you for content. Every piece of content therefore exists for one reason: to move a viewer onto your landing page and into your email list.

Before he set up a bot, the creator had three exits for that traffic: the link in his bio, the occasional story link and DMs he answered by hand. That setup topped out at roughly 30–40 leads a day. Content was never the constraint — some of his Reels gathered 500 or 1,000 comments. The constraint was throughput. One person cannot reply to a thousand commenters and still have time to make the next Reel.

“If people stay on Instagram and don’t click our links, don’t get access to our links, well, guess what? We are not going to make any money at all, because Instagram is not paying us to create content. We need to extract people from Instagram.” — Module 3, ManyChat Is King

There is a second, quieter point in the same lesson. The creator tells you to stop asking viewers to “click the link in my bio,” because, in his words, “Instagram doesn’t like that.” A keyword the viewer types into a comment or a story reply is a cleaner call to action, and it hands the conversation to DM automation instead of to you. That reframe is the lens we used for this whole DM Automation Index Review: each Reel is a lead source first and a view counter second.

The ManyChat Trigger Map: One Comment, Two Jobs

A comment keyword pays off twice. First, a burst of comments is an engagement signal, so Instagram pushes the Reel to more people. Second, ManyChat sends every commenter a DM with your link, and that DM traffic is what fills the funnel. Here is the logic as one scheme:

Call to action
“comment the word…”
→
Keyword typed
comment, DM or story reply
→
Trigger fires
2 keywords · all posts
↙ ↘
Job 1 · Reach
More comments → engagement signal → Reel shown to more non-followers → more people comment ↺
Job 2 · Leads
Auto DM with landing-page link → email captured on Systeme.io → daily emails → affiliate offer

The Three Doors Into the Bot

Entry point What the viewer does What else it does
Bio keyword DMs a word named in your bio — the creator uses “freedom” and says 15–25 people send it daily Replaces the bio link click; a follow-up arrives the next day
Reel or post comment Comments the word from the Reel’s ending, e.g. “comment the word guide” Drives engagement that can push the Reel toward semi-viral reach
Story reply Replies to a story with a word such as “free training” Signals story engagement, so more followers see it

Five Settings That Decide Whether It Works

  • Public comment replies: off. The creator auto-replied in the comments for a few days and Instagram turned off his comment function.
  • Trigger scope: “all posts” for an always-on flow; a specific Reel or “next post” for a one-off promotion.
  • Keywords: two words per flow, swapped out in the trigger step whenever you change offers.
  • Your link: the imported flows carry his link until you replace it with your landing page.
  • Platform: Instagram and Facebook (he thinks WhatsApp too) — not TikTok or YouTube.

Inside the Story-Reply Bot: A Minute-by-Minute Timeline

The story-reply flow is the most built-out of the three ManyChat automations in the course. The creator calls it “a little bit more advanced,” and its timing is worth copying even if you change every word of the text. This is the sequence one follower experiences:

0:00 — The reply
A follower replies to any of your stories with one of the two keywords.
+30 seconds — Like and link
The reply is liked automatically, then a DM thanks them and delivers the link.
A short wait — The open door
“Let me know if you have any questions.”
+24 hours — The check-in
A smart delay of one day, then: “Did you check out the training? Let me know if I can help you with anything.”
+3 seconds — The second chance
“If not, here’s the link again.”

Two details make this better than a single auto-reply. The 30-second delay and the like make the response feel human rather than robotic. And the next-day check-in catches everyone who opened the DM, got distracted and never clicked — the same people a manual follow-up would miss first.

The Weekly Story Mix That Feeds It

Stories reach almost only your followers, so the course treats them as the place where followers turn into leads. The Main Method lessons describe a repeatable mix:

Story type When Its job
Yes/no poll About two hours before a Reel Warms up followers so the next story is pushed wider
Reel reshare Right after posting, with the hook as text Early views and engagement on the new Reel
Promo story Twice a week Shares a win — first followers, a commission, a viral Reel — then asks for the reply keyword
Story break Now and then, 24 hours of silence The next story notifies your followers again
Editor’s comment: The module’s cost-saving trick — bulk-deleting ManyChat contacts older than your longest flow — only works because these flows are short (one or two days). The creator himself encourages longer bot sequences later, and those will cost more contacts. Our read: keep the bot as a fast delivery layer and do the long-term nurturing in your email list, which is exactly how the course’s funnel is designed.

Worked Example: Rebuilding a “6,000 per Month” Reel in CapCut

The editing lesson is the most hands-on file in the course: a start-to-finish rebuild of a high-performing tutorial Reel about a remote job with Google. The original shows a hook, a pen moving over a screen recording, and a closing call to action. Here is the sequence exactly as the creator works through it on screen:

  1. Grab the source. Copy the Reel’s link from the three-dot menu and download the video to your computer with a Reel-downloader site.
  2. Use it as the base layer. Import it into CapCut and drop it on the timeline, so your version inherits its exact length and rhythm.
  3. Swap the opening. Take one of your own clips of you pointing, split it where the pointing starts (Command+B on Mac, Ctrl+B on PC) and lay it over the original’s first shot.
  4. Rebuild the text. Hide your track to read the original’s overlay, then recreate it: “6,000 per month” in a bold font, white text on a red background, roughly 5% height and width padding, rounded corners at 35.
  5. Add the second line. Copy the box, change it to “Remote with” in blue and slightly larger, and add a transparent Google logo PNG. Scale your clip down so the logo doesn’t cover your face.
  6. Keep the middle, swap the ending. The screen-recording section plays as it is; at the end, cut to a clip of you pointing downward with the call to action “Follow for more ways to make money with Google.”
  7. Kill the audio and export. Drag the original sound to zero, export, and AirDrop the file to your phone (or use a Windows alternative).
  8. Add the sound inside Instagram. Open the original Reel, tap “use sound,” then upload yours — so the track registers as the trending sound rather than as your original audio.

The creator says a rebuild like this takes “literally 10 minutes.” He credits this shortcut, together with the hashtag and caption tips in the text lessons, for Reels that went from 200 views to 50,000, 75,000 and as high as 1.4 million — his own figures from his own account.

Why the Original Stays on the Timeline

Even for a six-second “read caption” Reel, he always edits on top of the downloaded original. Building on it keeps the length identical and lets you cut to the beat: if the trending sound builds for a second and then lands a big hit, that hit is where your first new frame should start. He argues well-edited Reels have a higher chance of going viral, simply because people like watching them.

“We want to model the whole format, the length, the sound and stuff like that.” — Module 1, Editing Secrets (5-Minute Model)

Editor’s comment: The “keep their middle” shortcut reuses another creator’s screen recording. That carries real copyright and account risk — a takedown or strike can land on the very account your DM automation depends on. The same lesson shows the safer route: film the web pages yourself with your phone, a few seconds per screen, and place those clips into the same template. We’d treat that as the default and skip the shortcut entirely.

Growth vs. Conversion: Picking the Right Reel for the Job

The course sorts Reels by what they are meant to achieve. Some exist to grow the account; others exist to attract the people who will actually join your list. Choosing the wrong one for your stage is the most common reason a busy account still produces few leads.

Format Reach Lead quality Creator’s example
Growth — 20–30 s tutorial Highest: watch time plus shares Lower — a “transition reel”; viewers want more of that tutorial A simple side hustle, ending “better side hustle in caption”
Short — 6–7 s hook Strong: it loops while people read the caption Higher — “really capturing my core audience” A tool stack — Instagram, Systeme.io, Canva, ChatGPT — that makes money online
Talking — tutorial with voice Like the growth format Adds your voice and personality Narrating over screen footage, with or without eye contact

For a new account, the rule is strict: for roughly the first 30–40 Reels the only call to action is “follow,” matched to the topic. Even on a short “read caption” Reel, the caption repeats the follow ask on line two and again at the end. The creator uses a comment keyword himself, but says that is “not what you’re going to use in the beginning.” In other words, the ManyChat module pays off once the growth module has done its job.

Double Down, Then Let Reels Breathe

Every nine or ten Reels, check which one performed best and post it again — either unchanged or with a new hook, caption or clip of you. The creator says one Reel that reached a million views hit 5 million when he reposted it about ten days later, and that even a weaker repost tends to land in the 300,000–400,000 range. He also pushes back on posting three times a day: he averages about five Reels a week, and some of his Reels only took off three or four days after posting. One reached a million views in two days and was at 4 million a week later.

Where the Commission Actually Comes From

The money is not in the $7 sale. Module 2 explains affiliate marketing with a plain example — you tell a friend which shop sold your shoes, they buy there, and online the link does the remembering — and then shows how high-ticket programs are built so that the product owner’s team does the heavy selling for you. The creator calls this structure a “value letter,” and it works like a ladder:

  • Front end: your lead joins a $7–$9 challenge or course, often a five-day or multi-day challenge.
  • Upsells: offers at around $27, $47 or $97 appear right after purchase; you earn roughly 50% commission on each.
  • The lock: a few days in, the next lessons are locked, and the only way forward is a call with an “advisor” — another word for a sales closer.
  • The close: the creator says good closers convert 20–25% of their calls into a flagship program of about $2,500, which pays you at least $1,000.
  • The fallback: if they don’t buy, there’s another call, then a lower-priced offer — and your cookie still earns on all of it.

“So we can make anywhere from like $3, $4 to $500 to $5,000 from that same lead that we referred to this $7 product.” — Module 2, Affiliate Marketing

The Back-End Rule: Never Stop Adding Offers

The creator’s bluntest warning is that most leads will never buy the first offer — he puts it at 95%. If your sequence promotes one product for ten or fifteen days and then stops, the funnel will look broken. His fix is to keep building: start with around eight emails, add four more a week, layer in new offers from programs like ClickBank or Digistore24, then move finished leads onto weekly newsletters. One tip we haven’t seen elsewhere: sign up to your competitors’ funnels, so their daily emails become a stream of copy ideas to model.

Editor’s comment: The commission ladder depends on someone else’s sales team, so treat the figures as the creator’s own experience, not a forecast. What you control is traffic, the list and the follow-up. That’s why this DM Automation Index Review rates the email back end as important as the bot: ManyChat gets people in the door, but the sequence is what earns over weeks.

DM Automation Index Review: The Course Map in Numbers

The file-by-file list lives on the product page. Here is the shape of it instead: 20 files across three modules, 861.31 MB, and 2 hours 20 minutes 33 seconds of video. Module 1 (growth) takes 64m 46s, Module 2 (affiliate) 54m 03s and Module 3 (DM automation) 21m 44s.

Video runtime by lesson
M2 · Tools You Need — 22m 32s
M3 · ManyChat Is King — 21m 44s
M1 · Main Method, Video 2 — 19m 08s
M2 · Affiliate Marketing — 15m 56s
M2 · Products to Promote — 15m 35s
M1 · Editing Secrets (5-Minute Model) — 15m 24s
M1 · Main Method, Video 1 — 14m 12s
M1 · Setup for Success — 12m 23s
M1 · Start Here — 3m 39s

Two things stand out. The single longest lesson is the Systeme.io build, not the bot — a sign the course takes the funnel seriously. And the DM automation module, while one video, is the second-longest lesson in the package, so it is far more than a footnote.

Four Files to Open First

  • ManyChat is king (video + text) — the 21-minute walkthrough plus the text file holding the share links for the three ready-made flows.
  • 6. Hooks, CTA’s & Captions — at 7.53 KB, the largest text lesson in the course; captions are where short Reels send people.
  • 3. Main Method – Content Ideas (2 videos + text) — 33 minutes on modeling abnormal Reels, formats, batching and stories, with a 5.71 KB companion note.
  • 3. Tools you need (video + text) — the Systeme.io template, the two-step funnel and the email campaign set-up.

The welcome video is explicit that the text parts are “equally important” as the videos: some lessons are one video plus text, some two videos plus text, and some are text only — Audio, Faceless and both Plan of Attack files among them.

Self-Test: Are You Ready to Automate Your DMs?

Five scenarios, answers straight from the lessons. Decide first, then click. Miss two or more and the course will save you from expensive beginner mistakes.

1. Your account is a week old. What call to action ends your YouTube-tips Reel?

“Follow for more YouTube tips.” In stage one, and for roughly your first 30–40 Reels, follow is the only call to action — always matched to the topic of the video.

2. Should the bot’s DM contain your affiliate link?

No. Every Instagram link — bio, DM, story — goes to your landing page. The affiliate link appears for the first time on the thank-you page, after the email is captured.

3. A competitor’s Reels sit near 5,000 views; one from three weeks ago has 60,000. What is it?

An “abnormal” Reel — exactly the kind you save to your spreadsheet and recreate, ideally from the last 30 days.

4. Your longest bot flow lasts two days. Which contacts can you delete?

Anyone three days old or older. They won’t receive anything else from the bot, so bulk-deleting them once or twice a month keeps your contact count, and your bill, low.

5. Where do you add the trending sound to your edited Reel?

Inside Instagram, via “use sound” on the original Reel — not in CapCut — so it isn’t registered as your original audio.

About the Creator

IG
The IG Profit Starter Kit Creator
Instagram affiliate marketer · make-money-online niche

The lessons don’t give the creator’s name, so we only repeat what he says about himself. He describes growing to over 140,000 Instagram followers in a couple of months, earning his first $1,000 high-ticket commission about 14 days after he began promoting Legendary Marketer, and posting about five Reels a week. He recorded the bot module after roughly two months of using DM automation, and runs his pages, emails and funnels on Systeme.io after moving away from ClickFunnels and GetResponse. Signature rule: “If it works, double down.”

DM Automation Index Review FAQ

Does ManyChat DM automation work on TikTok or YouTube?

Not according to the lesson. The creator says it works on Instagram and Facebook, and he believes WhatsApp too, but not on TikTok or YouTube.

Should I turn on public comment replies in ManyChat?

The creator leaves them off. When he auto-replied to every comment for a few days in a row, Instagram turned off his comment function. The private DM does the work.

When should a new account start using comment keywords?

Not on day one. For roughly the first 30–40 Reels the course uses only a topic-matched “follow for more” call to action. Keyword calls to action pay off once the account has followers and commenters.

How much does ManyChat cost for this setup?

The lesson says you can start on a free plan up to roughly 500 or 1,000 contacts; after that the price rises at contact tiers. Deleting contacts older than your longest flow keeps you at the lowest tier you need.

How is the course delivered?

Digital files. Crypto payment only. Fast delivery is handled manually after payment confirmation. Download links remain available for 7 days; save your files locally.

Final Verdict — DM Automation Index Review 2026

DM Automation – Free Access solves a specific problem: attention that never turns into leads. It earns the attention with research-driven Reels and a disciplined story routine, collects it with a keyword-triggered ManyChat bot, and monetizes it through a two-step Systeme.io funnel and an email sequence that keeps adding offers. The bot module is one video, but the trigger logic, the timed story-reply flow and the contact-cleanup habit are usable the day you set up your account. Film your own footage, keep public replies off, and this is a solid first system for a beginner.
