Dream Room PDF Flip Books: The Paper Side of the Video Course
nurtr calls the Dream Room “cinematically recorded, bestselling content by Grandmaster R B Ramesh”. Video teaches well, but it is a poor way to revise. You cannot spread out a video, flip back to a diagram or leave it open next to a board. This package fixes that. Each Dream Room episode has its own PDF, named exactly like the video it belongs to, so you can watch a lesson and then open the matching book, or skip the video and revise from the book alone.
The coach himself recommends this way of working. In the beginner season he tells viewers to solve the home examples without touching the pieces: read the position from the page, think, and work out the answer in your head. That is how he builds calculation and visualization. The flip books give you the material to study that way across all three levels. They are a companion, not a replacement. The package has no video, and it is best paired with the matching level from the GM RB Ramesh category.

How the Flip Books Match the Three Video Levels
Beginner: the complete first season on paper
All 39 beginner episodes have a book, from First Thing First to Basic Endgames. That covers the rules, notation and draws, forcing moves, the seven tactical themes, the Bh7, Nf7, Ne6 and Bh6 sacrifices, and the opening principles. The books line up one-to-one with the Dream Room Beginner videos (Beginners Episodes 1-39). Note the file sizes: episodes 1–26 are roughly 0.7–3 MB each, while episodes 27–39 are only 90–265 KB, so those later books are probably shorter. We have not counted pages.
Intermediate: the largest set, 86 books
The Intermediate books make up most of the Dream Room PDF Flip Books, at 130.9 MB. They follow the long middle season of the Dream Room Intermediate Level. Topics include prophylaxis in three parts, pawn majorities and pawn breaks, five Attacking the King episodes, the exchange sacrifice, the bad bishop in three parts, and knight versus bishop with Flohr as the model. There is also a long run of endgames: bishop, knight, rook, queen and king-and-pawn endings, plus opposite-colour bishops. The season ends with evaluation, assessment of the position and two parts on positional play.
Advanced: calculation, studies and model players
The 37 Advanced books go with the Dream Room Advanced Level. Six of them are Complex Calculations. Others cover blindfold studies, chess studies with the champions, the deconstruction of puzzles, two books analyzing Praggnanandhaa, attacking the king with Geller as the model, and a rook-and-pawn ending book featuring Spielmann. Isolated-pawn play, the passed pawn, prophylaxis, active defence and the initiative complete the set. If calculation is your main target, GM Ramesh’s Improve Your Chess Calculation goes deeper still.
A simple way to use the Dream Room PDF Flip Books
Watch an episode once. The next day, open its book and go through the material without the video and without moving pieces, as the coach suggests. Use a board only to check your answers. For a weekly routine, keep the same rhythm as the Chess Gurukul 52-Week Training Program: one topic, one week, revised from paper.
