What Is Wall Street Global Trading Academy?
Wall Street Global Trading Academy (WSGTA) is taught by people who spent decades on the New York Stock Exchange floor. Peter Tuchman, introduced as “the Einstein of Wall Street,” started on Wall Street in 1985. David Green, “the professor,” started on the NYSE floor in 1984, spent about 20 years as a specialist and has traded for more than 40 years — and openly describes losing heavily when he first switched to day trading before spending a year and a half teaching himself technical analysis. Ken leads psychology and Fibonacci with a background in technical dive instruction, risk management and behavioral psychology, and Kevin Wynn covers platforms, bracket orders and the Futures FastTrack deck.
The philosophy is to make you an operator of a system, not an improviser. As Ken puts it: “We’re not teaching you how to build a trading system from scratch. We’re providing you with the car and the training to not put it in the wall.” For traders comparing futures and stock trading courses, WSGTA stands out for translating the same named setups from stock cents to futures points.
“Good traders should be bored most of the time.”
— David Green, Complete Futures Trading Course
The WSGTA Trading System: Named Setups With Binary Rules
The core idea is simple — “support equals buy, resistance equals sell” — starting on a 5-minute chart and stepping out to 15-minute, hourly, daily, weekly and monthly charts when no nearby level exists. Moving averages are ranked by strength: the 9 and 15 EMAs, then the 30, the 65 and finally the 200, which the instructors call “the Great Wall of China.” Pivot points, previous-day highs, lows and closes, VWAP, RSI and ATR complete the chart. Each setup either triggers or it doesn’t:
| Setup |
Trigger |
Rules taught (futures) |
| Trend Trade |
A “ski slope” trend pulling back to the 9 and 15 EMAs |
Scale in at the 9 and the 15; no entries before 9:45, at lunch or after 3:00 |
| Regular Moving Average Trade |
First touch of the 30, 65 or 200 EMA, a pivot or VWAP after a big move |
ES needs a 10+ point move into the level; stop to breakeven after the first gain |
| Far From Moving Average Trade |
Price stretched from the MAs with RSI ≥80 or ≤20 on the 5-minute |
Enter on the first reversal bar on the 1-minute; the only setup allowed during news |
| Momentum Trade |
A level tested repeatedly, then broken |
Stop order beyond the level — the futures version of the stock Base Trade |
| Double Tops & Bottoms |
Retest of the first high/low after a pullback and time gap |
Taken once only — “There is no such thing as a triple top.” |
| Reversal & Daily/Weekly Swings |
Three days in one direction with extreme RSI, or a daily/weekly MA or pivot |
Average in up to three times; target a partial retracement of the move |
The stock program teaches the same family in cents — including the Base Trade (30+ minutes sideways in a tight range, entered on a 5-cent break) — so you can move between equities and futures without learning a new method. David’s reminder applies to all of them: “Having a line on a chart does not mean it’s a trade.”
Fibonacci as a Ruler, Not Magic
“For our purposes, the Fibonacci is a ruler. That’s all it is.” Ken’s Fibonacci lessons use the 23.6, 38.2, 50, 61.8 and 78.6 levels to find confluence with existing moving averages and pivots — never to invent new levels — and add the 2-standard-deviation VWAP band as extra overbought/oversold confirmation.
Execution: Bracket Orders, ATR and Contract Math
Every trade uses a bracket order that places the stop and target automatically. Kevin walks through one- and two-target brackets in NinjaTrader and Tradovate, indicator-attached orders, the chase-limit feature and stop strategies; charts are set up in Thinkorswim and TradingView. ATR (the average range of the last 14 five-minute candles) sizes stops, and the course explains tick and point values for ES, MES, NQ, CL and GC — with beginners told to start on MES rather than the far more volatile NQ.
Rules and Psychology Before Charts
Roughly a third of the futures course is about behaviour: daily goals, overtrading, social media, FOMO, losing trades, patience and a 47-minute trading psychology lesson. Ken’s line sums it up: “I can train a chimpanzee to read the technical charts… What I can’t teach a chimp to do is behave properly.” The hard rules are explicit:
- A stop order on every trade — “mental stops are mental.”
- No averaging into losers (outside the defined trend and swing entries).
- Three maximum-loss trades in a day and you are done.
- Stop when the daily goal is hit; stop if you give back 20% of the day’s gain — “We will never turn a winning day into a losing day. Ever.”
- Take every setup that triggers — no cherry-picking — and check the economic calendar before placing orders.
Journaling is mandatory: “If you’re not journaling, you’re simply gambling.” The included journal spreadsheet helps you discover which setup suits your temperament based on your own hit rate.
63 Weekly Mentorship Sessions (Oct 2024 – Dec 2025)
The largest module — about 94 hours — is the Thursday-night Zoom mentorship with David and Peter: reviews of the day’s trend, far-from-MA and pivot trades on MES and NQ, student Q&A, economic data previews, prop-firm and platform troubleshooting, plus lesson replays on Fibonacci, options, bracket orders and watchlists. Fifteen months of real markets showing the same rules applied week after week. Prop-firm account setup lessons are also included; firm rules change often, so always confirm current terms with the firm.

- Stock traders under the $25k day-trading threshold looking at micro futures and prop-firm evaluations.
- Part-time traders, students and retirees who need defined trading windows and a daily stop.
- Traders whose problem is discipline, not chart reading — the rules, journal and psychology modules target behaviour directly.
Not for: anyone seeking signals, automated systems or long-term investing — the instructors reject all three and warn there are “no guarantees.”
