Evergreen Ads Index Review 2026 of Zac Hansen's Evergreen Ads + Upsells on Courses On Budget
Evergreen Ads Index Review 2026: the AI ad-writing session, the campaign settings and the image workflow.

Zac Hansen – Evergreen Ads + Upsells Index Review

October 29, 2026 Posted by Courses on Budget Editorial Team Marketing Posts
Zac Hansen · Evergreen Ads Index Review 2026This Evergreen Ads Index Review takes Zac Hansen’s Evergreen Ads + Upsells bundle apart the way you would actually use it: the ad-writing session replayed decision by decision, every campaign setting with the reason behind it, the screenshot-to-variation image routine, the order to open the files in, and a self-test to check what stuck. Everything comes from the four lessons and the file index — nothing is guessed. Brought to you by Courses On Budget.
Quick Verdict
Course Evergreen Ads + Upsells (Rapid Launch Kit, Creating Ad Images, Retargeting Ads)
Creator Zac Hansen
Format 4 videos (51m 57s) · launch kit as PDF + DOCX · image guide PDF · retargeting PDF · 16 files
Level Intermediate — you need an offer, a sales page and access to Ads Manager
Core promise Long-form Meta ads that pre-sell the click and keep running for months
Our take Unpolished but unusually transparent — you see every correction, not just the finished ad
In this review:
1. Why the ad does the selling · 2. The system as a diagram · 3. Worked example: the writing session · 4. Campaign settings table · 5. Image workflow · 6. Index map · 7. Self-test · 8. About the creator · 9. Verdict

Why the Ad Has to Do the Selling Now

The short answer: buyers have become harder to convince, so the ad has to finish most of the persuasion before anyone lands on your page. Zac doesn’t put this on a slide — he writes it into the very ad he builds on camera.

His diagnosis has three parts. First, the AI wave of ChatGPT images and AI-built offers means more competition than ever. Second, buyers now run a new filter in their heads — “can AI do this for me, or do I really need to buy this thing?” Third, many have already bought a course that taught an over-complex method, “more hair ripping than profitable”: toggles and dials in Ads Manager, cloning ad sets and hoping something triggers, generic AI fluff, all while Meta takes “more than his fair share.”

Against a buyer like that, a short ad and a pretty image produce clicks, not customers. So the Evergreen Ads answer is length: pain, insight, offer, bonuses and a guarantee.

“I don’t expect people to read this entire thing, but I want them to scan enough so that they’re pre-sold by the time they hit the page.” — Behind the Scenes of Me Writing Ads For This Offer

A second consequence shows up in the setup lesson. Zac says the algorithm is now “so darn good” at finding buyers if you follow the Evergreen Ads process, because Meta reads your ads to target. The long copy is also your audience definition — which is why his targeting stays light.

Editor’s comment: This is the idea worth paying for. If the copy names a buyer’s exact pain — a cost per acquisition that suddenly jumped, an agency that over-promised — the copy itself filters who keeps reading and who clicks. The flip side is that weak copy can’t be rescued by clever audience settings, so plan to spend most of your launch time in the document, not in Ads Manager.

The Evergreen Ads System as a Diagram

The whole method is a straight line with one hard rule: nothing goes into Ads Manager until the ads and images already exist in your document. Here is the sequence the four lessons describe, from offer to hands-off running:

1. Offer page
sales page + testimonials
→
2. Long-form copy
AI drafts, you steer
→
3. Ad images
ChatGPT base, Ideogram variations
→
4. Rapid Setup
1 campaign, 2 ad sets
→
5. Email push
first buyers fire the pixel
→
6. Hands off
3 days, then months of runtime

Steps 1–2 happen in the 28-minute writing session, step 3 in the image videos, steps 4–6 in the setup walkthrough. The end state is the “evergreen” part: Zac’s claim is that ads which perform with the right images can run three to six months.

Notice what’s missing: no audience research phase, no lookalikes, no daily optimisation loop. That follows from the premise that the copy does the targeting. For a media-buying angle, see our Mr Paid Ads media buying review.

Worked Example: Replaying Zac Hansen’s Ad-Writing Session

The behind-the-scenes lesson is a single unbroken working session on a real offer — the Evergreen Ads Rapid Launch Kit itself. Because it’s unedited, you can follow every decision Zac Hansen makes and, just as usefully, every point where he overrules the AI. Here it is reconstructed stage by stage:

Stage What happens on screen The lesson inside it
1. Load the bot Opens his custom-trained ad bots (built on Claude models, which he rates above ChatGPT for this job) and pastes the sales page plus any client testimonials The AI only knows what you give it
2. Questions first Makes the AI ask him questions before any output, answering out loud with a dictation tool Better inputs, better first drafts
3. Steal a real line Pulls a complaint from his Facebook group — a CPA that went from $32 to $87 — as a dialogue-line hook, then sets a target of five more Hooks come from buyers’ words, not brainstorming
4. Reject the angle The AI’s draft says ads “work for three days” then tank, and that “the algo knows” how to find buyers — he flags that transition as off-message Every line must serve the product’s core belief
5. Write the pain story Types the AI-wave, “can AI do this for me” and over-complex-course paragraphs himself, then a credibility line and “I realized a profound truth” — and leaves the rest blank You supply the insight; AI supplies the connective tissue
6. Hand back and redirect Asks “can you fill the rest out?”, then asks for a version focused on creative and pre-sold buyers; the AI rewrites everything and he cuts what doesn’t fit Expect to “strong-arm” the output
7. Catch the fiction Spots a story the AI simply invented and deletes it; adds the bonuses and a PS guarantee Never ship an AI anecdote you didn’t live
8. Multiply Spins the finished ad into hook variations: “Fire your overpriced ad agency,” ads dying every three days, “You’ve got to babysit the ad account 24/7” One strong body, several openings

The credibility line in stage 5 is Zac’s own claim about his track record: years of running ads that, in his words, turned over 30,000 strangers into buyers and made millions for himself and clients. He writes it himself rather than letting the AI phrase it.

The time cost is honest too: an earlier session of around 30 minutes plus this refresh at about 20 — roughly 40 minutes in total, with one of his kids waving at the camera halfway through.

Three Habits to Copy From the Session

  • Draft first, then ask for a critique. Zac gives the AI his rough version and asks what’s wrong or could be better, instead of asking it to write from zero.
  • Keep a swipe file of buyer complaints. One group comment became the opening hook; the job after that is finding five more.

Campaign Settings Decision Table

Every setting in the Rapid Setup lesson comes with a reason. Here they are in one place, with the condition under which Zac would do it differently:

Setting Zac’s choice Why / when to change it
Structure One Sales campaign per offer, named after the offer Keeps the account minimal and clean
Budget & bid $50/day (entered as 65 in his Canadian-dollar account), highest volume or value Convert to your account currency
Ad set A Broad, no interests, named with the launch date The copy does the targeting
Ad set B Duplicate, “slightly narrow”: advertising, online advertising, business, entrepreneurship, small business He keeps it big because he has pixel data; starting from scratch, narrow further (e.g. personal development) and aim under 100 million
Locations A saved bulk list of core countries picked from where his sales come from, with Europe added in full Best CPAs and scale potential for him; may switch to worldwide once sales flow
Demographics If you sell to one narrow group (his example: women 30–65+), tick “further limit the reach” Stops Meta’s AI drifting; test Advantage+ later as buyers accumulate
Format Flexible, with several copy versions, headlines and 10 images and videos Choose single image/video and duplicate per creative for more control
Headlines Reused top performers from old ads, e.g. “Sell strangers before they hit your page” Headlines talking about ROAS “always work the worst” for him
Naming & URLs Ads named “V1” plus the offer name; URL parameters skipped “I don’t worry too much about this”
After publish Email the offer to his list the same day, then walk away for three days First buyers trigger the pixel

“This is not about choosing like the 100% best audience size anymore. I just don’t think that’s the way to do it.” — Rapid Setup

The Snags He Hits Live — and the Fixes

Because the setup is recorded in one take, you get the troubleshooting most courses edit out. He double-checks that the right pages are selected — he once got it wrong for a client “and it was not fun.” Long copy gets cut off in the ad editor, so he pastes finished text and never edits inside Ads Manager.

The only real error comes at publish: targeting options unavailable for young people, triggered by one country in his list (Singapore). The fix sits under “show more controls” — raise the minimum age to 20. Few 18-year-olds buy an ads offer anyway, he notes.

Editor’s comment: Read this table with Zac’s own caveat in mind: he leaves ad set B wide because his account already has a lot of pixel data. On a fresh account, his advice to narrow further and to launch to an email list matters far more. Without a list, the “trigger the pixel on day one” step won’t happen, so expect the first few days to be slower than his.

The Image Workflow: From One Screenshot to a Stack of Variations

The two image lessons answer one question: how do you get ten usable ad images without a designer? Zac’s answer is to model, not invent — find an image that already works and have the AI adapt its style to your offer.

The Demo Prompt, Rebuilt

A group member asked how his images were made, so he scrolls his feed, passes on a few candidates — one with a face feels “too real” — and screenshots a social post he likes. Then he pastes it into a paid ChatGPT account:

Prompt pattern from the lesson:
“I want you to model this style of image for my own offer called Mid Ticket Workshops. Make sure you use greenish, dark green colors.”
Text in image: a headline, then bullets such as “Sell first, build later” and “Validate with $150 ad spend” — three to five maximum.
Follow-ups: make it square · “can you add in a few offer components with the bullets”

Keep colour instructions short — a full palette, he finds, “breaks it.” After one back-and-forth he judged the result usable for a story-driven ad. He admits most people can tell these are AI images; the text on them is what makes them catchy.

Multiplying the Winner

The second video fixes ChatGPT’s weak spot: speed. Zac built his base image in about five minutes, but waiting for dozens more was the problem.

“I’m just impatient. I don’t have time to sit around and wait for ChatGPT to create me 30 images.” — Creating AI Images

  1. Upload the ChatGPT image to Ideogram and click Describe — or, to save the subscription, ask ChatGPT to describe it.
  2. Edit the description: in the demo, a large white dollar sign becomes a Meta ad image with a mouse-cursor arrow, and the headline placement changes.
  3. Switch the aspect ratio to square and generate.
  4. Take any image with garbled text to Canva — his demo produced a “pre-sell buyers before they hit your sales page” headline that needed tidying.
Editor’s comment: The image module is deliberately short — about ten minutes combined — and that fits the system. In Evergreen Ads the image only has to stop the scroll; the long copy does the selling. If you want deep creative strategy, pair it with a dedicated course rather than expecting it here. Zac also mentions AI video generators for testing hooks as something coming, not something taught.

Evergreen Ads Index Review: Where the 52 Minutes Go

The file-by-file list lives on the product page. Here is the shape instead: 16 files, 350.56 MB, four videos totalling 51m 57s. Launch Kit videos take about 80% of the runtime; Retargeting Ads is a PDF plus a links file, not a video.

Video runtime by lesson
Behind the Scenes of Me Writing Ads — 28m 05s
Rapid Setup — 13m 43s
Creating AI Ad Images — Doc — 7m 05s
Creating AI Images — 3m 04s

Course Map: Open the Files in This Order

The folders are numbered with Rapid Setup inside the Launch Kit, but Zac’s own rule says don’t touch Ads Manager until ads and images are ready. So we’d work through the bundle in this order:

  1. Evergreen Ads Launch Kit (PDF or editable DOCX) — the working document, including the Evergreen Ads Framework section where the example images live.
  2. Behind the Scenes of Me Writing Ads For This Offer — watch with the document open and write alongside.
  3. Creating AI Ad Images — Doc plus its PDF — build your base image.
  4. Creating AI Images — multiply it into variations.
  5. Rapid Setup — only now, with everything ready, build the campaign.
  6. Retargeting Ads PDF — read once the first campaign is live.

Self-Test: Could You Launch This Campaign Tomorrow?

Six questions, every answer taken from the lessons. Decide first, then open the answer. Miss two or more and the course will fill real gaps for you.

1. What goes into the AI before it writes a single line?

The offer’s sales page and whatever client testimonials you have — plus an instruction that the AI must question you before it writes.

2. The AI’s draft says “the algo knows how to find buyers.” Keep it?

No. Zac rewrites it because the core of the product is that the creative matters most, not the algorithm.

3. How many ad sets, and how do they differ?

Two. A broad set with zero interests, and a duplicate that adds a handful of advertising and business interests, ideally keeping the audience below 100 million.

4. You only sell to women aged 30–65+. Which control matters?

“Further limit the reach of your ads,” so Meta’s AI doesn’t expand far beyond the demographic you chose.

5. Publishing fails with “targeting unavailable for young people.” Fix?

Open “show more controls” and set the minimum age to 20 for the country causing it.

6. What do you do right after you hit publish?

Email your list about the offer on launch day so the first buyers fire the pixel — then leave the campaign alone for three days.

Evergreen Ads Index Review FAQ

Do I need ad experience for this course?

Some. The setup is a click-by-click walkthrough, but it assumes you already have an offer, a sales page and an ad account. Total beginners will want a basic Ads Manager course first.

How long should the ad copy be?

Long. Zac writes full pain-story ads with the offer, bonuses and a PS guarantee, so readers who only scan still arrive pre-sold.

Is Ideogram required for the images?

No. It’s an optional step for fast variations at about $20 a month. Zac notes that ChatGPT can write the image description instead; a paid ChatGPT account is the one tool the image lessons rely on.

How many creatives go into the first ad?

In the setup lesson he loads 10 images and videos into a Flexible-format ad, together with several copy versions and reused top-performing headlines.

How is the course delivered?

Digital files. Crypto payment only. Fast delivery is handled manually after payment confirmation. Download links remain available for 7 days; save your files locally.

Final Verdict — Evergreen Ads Index Review 2026

Evergreen Ads + Upsells is small, rough around the edges and more useful than its runtime suggests. Its real value is watching a working advertiser argue with an AI and win: rejecting the wrong angle, deleting an invented story and multiplying one strong body into several hooks. The setup and image lessons then turn that copy into a live campaign in an afternoon. If your offer page is live and your ads keep dying within days, this is a direct fix.
